He starts with the Acts 2 premise that everyone can prophecy and takes the reader on a journey of developing the gift of prophecy, covering how revelation comes, overcoming fear, the “revelation, interpretation, application and implementation” process and taking prophecy to work!
Every insight is Scripturally grounded, which makes this a very helpful book. Later chapters cover dreams and interpretation and the dynamics of handling, giving and receiving prophecy in the local church – David Oliver is particularly good on handling duff contributions well. There is quite a lot of material to help church leaders develop prophetic people well too.
I really enjoyed reading the book, which laced with lots of great stories, insights and challenges. I think anyone who wants to grow prophetically will be well served by Find Your Voice – do buy it on Amazon.co.uk*
