I’m doing a primary school assembly this afternoon on wealth and poverty and came upon some frightening statistics…

How rich are we? If you use the Global Rich List tool, you may be surprised.

The average salary in West Norfolk is £30,900, which would make you the 56,747,243 richest person on the planet, in the top 0.85% of wealth.

In preparing the assembling, I found Amos 5:24 in the Message “Do you know what I want? I want justice – oceans of it. I want fairness – rivers of it. That’s what I want, That’s all I want.”

Challenging stuff – Jesus is challenging on money and possessions, because too often they possess us.
