Normal for Norfolk (Matthew 11 – New Testament in a Year)
John the Baptist was in prison and struggling, I imagine, to see whether he really had “prepared the way for the Lord”. He asks if Jesus really is the One. Jesus’ reply indicated that his ministry thus far (the cross and resurrection will really trump all) is to be judged by the healings
- The blind see
- The lame walk
- The lepers are cured
- The dead are raised
- The deaf hear
- The good news is preached
I wonder how are ministries are evaluated? We need to hold onto Angie Kemm’s prophecy that these things would become the new Normal for Norfolk. Come let’s pray it in! The kingdom doesn’t advance passively, with apathetic Christians sitting on chairs – it advances forcefully as we beat back Satan’s kingdom with salvations, healing and deliverance.
In it all we rely on Jesus – his yoke is light and easy. Don’t get weary and burdened. Allow Jesus’ yoke to be upon you, not man’s expectations.
