Loved my Bible reading this morning from 1 Corinthians 1:21-22 “Now it is God who make both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership over us and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come”

1) The whole weight and power of the trinity is involved in keeping us standing firm.
“God”= Father
“in Christ” = Jesus
‘his Spirit in our hearts” – the Spirit

2) God keeps us firm, not us striving, so we can rest in what Jesus did for us and the Spirit’s anointing

3) “Seal of ownership”
That’s a legal proof of ownership, guaranteeing what is to come – full salvation.

4) The deposit
We get to enjoy the inheritance now!
