We had a great evening at Going Deeper doing an Old Testament survey. Our Bibles are not ordered chronologically, so we worked on a timeline of Old Testament history and then placed the books chronologically, with a surprising amount of laughter!

The yellow books are the Pentateuch/Torah/Law – the first five books of the Bible

The pink books are history books

The green books are prophetic books

The orange books are the wisdom books

I based the material on  three excellent PDF resources and John Drane’s amazing and now classic “Introducing the Old Testament“. The PDF resources are available here… Old Testament Timeline and a children’s timeline
