Refreshing in the Spirit and a salvation
This morning I took Alex Gibbins and David Wadieh on a road trip to Redeemer Church in Colchester to speak at their Sunday morning gathering. They meet in a primary school in the centre of the “first” city in the England – where Emperor Claudius, mentioned in Acts once stepped. The welcome was fantastic, as good as ours. Although they had home made Portugese custard tarts, so the welcome was better!
There was around 75 people gathered and they were remarkably full at start time! Only two more rows were filled over the next ten minutes.
I was asked to speak on the baptism in the Spirit and kicked off with a dream I’d had about someone getting healed of a heart condition – there was a gasp as they have 2 people with heart conditions, neither of whom could make it that morning. One normally sits exactly where my dream put them, so we prayed after the meeting by proxy for them.
At the end of my preach the people stood and we began to welcome the power of the Spirit – Alex and David brought prohetic words and got stuck into ministry – by the end of the ministry time, most had been prayed for including some fresh baptisms in the Spirit! After the meeting finished I shared the 3 circles (from the recent evangelism training) with the student who had brought the Portugese custard tarts and led her to Christ.
Lunch was with the students – we were told we were having the lunch at McDonalds, but thankfully they are a family not a burger chain 😉
What a trip, what a blessing! Do let me know if you’d like to come on the next adventure!!!
