Last weekend I travelled to Gdansk for a retreat with Maurice Nightingale and other key leaders from some of the European nations we are planting churches in. Serbia, Croatia, Poland, Spain, Germany and the UK were represented. The aim was for spending quality time praying, prophecying, discussing how to model mature charismatic culture, eating and having a lot of fun.

It was a powerful time for me personally, recharging emotional and spiritual batteries in the ministry times and the fun. I think I and the Gateway will be enjoying the fruit of some of those ministry times for years to come, as breakthroughs were won in prayer and prophetic declaration.

In our discussion times, we pondered modelling mature charismatic culture in Europe and in particular what the apostolic and prophetic foundations of Eph 2:8-10 are.

The Christian faith and charismatic life is surely more than just know Jesus and have a nice life. We considered and prayed into these 4 themes…

• 1) Who we are as people of God – one new man in Christ.
• 2) Kingdom through the now reigning Christ – agents of his kingdom now
• 3) Temple of God – the earth filled with God’s glory
• 4) Not just blessing of all nations, but the uniting of all nations.

We were able to give lots of time for prayer and prophecy and had some great meals, a kayak trip and a visit to the Solidarity museum, which was a poignant reminder of the fall of communism.

Back home – Janet and team put on an amazing baby shower for Kate.

This coming weekend I will be officiating at Ekey’s wedding in Altrincham. She was part of the Gateway family a few years ago, so it will be a great honour for Janet and I to be celebrating with her and Charles.
