Therefore!
Therefore, because of all that has been written before, don’t give up on Christianity. Jesus is the best. Lift your drooping hands, strengthen your weak knees, make straight paths. Keep going!
Strive for peace with everyone – Mr & Mrs sandpaper weren’t sent by the devil, they were sent by Jesus to rub off your rough edges. Make every effort to get on with them!
Holiness is important – you can’t see God without it. Remember you have already been made holy by Jesus, so act like it!
See to it – bring as many into the gospel of grace as you can.
Root of bitterness – bitterness is a horrific sin. It sinks its roots in and grows on you like a poison ivy, sucking the life out of you. Bitterness is like taking poison and hoping the other person will die. Repent of it and forgive the other person.
Avoid sexual immorality – stick to ‘one life, one wife’ and wait until you are married.
Why? Because the kingdom of God is real, and far more awesome than what happened when Moses went up Mount Sinai. That was just a symbol, a picture, a type, of the real thing. Jesus’ blood speaks a better word than any other.
Praise God, the kingdom can’t be shaken, so let us live lives of acceptable worship, running after Him in the strength He gives.
