Tamar – Gen 38 dressed as a prostitute & slept with father in law
Rahab – Jos 2 was a prostitute hid 2 spies & lied
Ruth – Ruth 3 conspired & curried favour with the boss
Bathsheba – 2 Sam caught in adultery
Mary – Matt 1 teenage bride whose story was hard to believe
A varied bunch,
What does this say about God?
Why does God use imperfect broken people?
Is there a place in church for messy immoral people?
Lydia Acts 16:11-15
1st European convert was Lydia
1st person to see the resurrected Jesus was Mary
Why does God use women for such key events?
Lydia was a busy person yet still found time to pray,
