International Cafe

On Tuesday 19th April 2022 10am, the Gateway International Café will start again at 99c High Street in King's Lynn.

Every term-time Tuesday, the international café will offer English conversation classes over coffee and cake. We aim to welcome refugees, migrants and asylum seekers and help them settle, make friends and learn English. Our last international café worked with West Norfolk residents from Brazil, China, Portugal, Lithuania, Latvia and Poland. We're expecting to welcome Ukrainian refugees too.

The project will start with the informal international café and we will hope to implement more formal English classes later in the year. Andy & Carol are our TEFL trained teachers and others will be helping with hospitality and chatting with our guests.

How can you help?

  1. Get involved with refreshments
  2. Be a be-friender on Tuesday mornings.
  3. Support the project with a donation

Do get in touch if you’d like to come and learn English or help!

He also helps to shape and serve a couple of Relational Mission's church plants in mainland Europe. Andy and Janet run regularly, largely to offset the hospitality eating!
